For a business to do well in our economy, it is vital that your website’s content is easy to understand, inviting, and catchy. Website content planning can save you money and time when you do it right. Most successful businesses started with a plan and did not just throw a bunch of words onto their website. There are so many benefits to planning your website content. Website content is the driving force for accomplishing any goals you have and to keep customers coming back for more. There are tools that can help you do that. Market research will help you to ensure that you reach customers who will invest in your product or service. You have to know what is out there, what is working, and what your customers want. Research also plays an important role in planning your content. Fix problems before they become detrimental to your business. This way, you can find what works and what doesn’t work. In addition, planning allows you to test out your content before spending the time and money on coding. Knowing and understanding your audience is also part of the content planning, and it will help you choose the best content that speaks to people and draws them in. Depending on the size of your business, you will want to consider what areas you want to reach. It will also assist you in targeting the audiences and demographics you want to reach. Planning will help you to determine what goals your company has and how you would like to meet them through setting up your website and having it go live. With both technology and the world constantly changing, you will need to make sure your website content is keeping up with the competition that is out there. This is why it is so important to make sure you strategize before publishing your website. When your website content is not inviting or helpful, they will take their business elsewhere. In addition, header info (like that shown in rows 1-3) would need to be pulled from the records, and simple calculations (like those shown at the bottom of the sheet) would need to be performed.Content is the heart and soul of a company’s website. Each expense record would be listed as a row in the table (like the highlighted rows shown in the example). All the user would have to do is select a “job” and all expense records linked to that job would be gathered up and processed. I’d like to automate the Cost Sheet data entry process so that, at a push of a button, any member of my team can generate a pdf with this same info, and with data pulled from Airtable records. It’s easy enough to create a table to track individual expenses and link them to any open job in our “jobs” table, but when it comes to billing, we need a single document that captures ALL the expenses related to a job and presents them together in a report much like the attached “Cost Sheet”, which we currently produce manually for each job in Excel. Working well so far, until we get to expense tracking. We are experimenting with Airtable as a project management tool for our Graphic Design Firm.
